Hawkeye Motel

A quiet little spot that worked perfectly for a rest during our travels. The rooms are older, but clean, and the service was exceptional. The owner even gave us snack bags with bottled water and goodies, a welcome surprise. I’d stay again.

The people are wonderful, and everything was clean and neat. It’s not fancy, but I truly love this place. If you’re traveling with a dog, the play area out back is the best. Each room also has an outdoor bench under an overhang, nice for smokers or anyone who wants to sit outside for a bit.

The staff were kind and understanding when we had a problem with our room. They refunded our money, and when we couldn’t sleep in the car after leaving, we came back to ask for another room. They said ours was the only one available. Even after the refund, they still let us stay in that room for the night. They really are good people.

We had a truck full of belongings in small uncovered boxes, and the parking lot felt so peaceful and well kept that we were comfortable leaving it there overnight. The lot was clean and well lit, with parking right outside the rooms. Inside, the room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the temperature just right. The bathroom fan was loud, though that can be useful for privacy in a room with one bathroom. I was very sick while traveling with my husband and brother from Mn to Ga, and we had no choice but to stop. I’m so glad we did. The staff were caring and made sure I had bottled water and Sprite to settle my stomach. I couldn’t take photos because I felt too sick at the time, but I’d absolutely stay here again.
