Isle Casino Hotel - Waterloo - A Caesars Rewards Destination

After we got home, I realized we'd left all our coats in the closet. We live almost two hours away, but the hotel had found them and agreed to ship them. They arrived by FedEx two days later, just in time for the Arctic Blast the next day. I'm so grateful they were honest about finding them and followed through so quickly. We'd needed an unexpected stop because our five-and-a-half-hour drive home turned into eight hours in the Snowmageddon of 2025. The hotel had availability at a great price, and we were relieved to stop for the night. Check-in was quick, and the room was clean and spacious, with comfortable beds and a nice hot shower. The little shop was closed, but the front desk gave us bottles of water for free. My son won some money at the casino, and we had very good food and service at the Brew Brothers restaurant. Superb service. If I could give ten stars, I would. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We used two free nights at the Isle Casino in Waterloo this past weekend, and it was just an OK stay. The facility was clean, staff were friendly, and the food at The Brew Brothers Restaurant was good. The casino is small, with a lot of old games. I don't mind that there aren't many new ones, but some of the old machines should be retired. We were there for the Super Bowl and expected a fun atmosphere, but it was pretty dead. The Sports Book was tiny, so we sat at the bar, which had fewer than ten people. We had to walk around to find the one bartender to order a drink. Service was very poor, and even when we flagged down a cocktail waitress while sitting at the bar, she seemed less than pleased to help. We probably wouldn't return. There are casinos closer to us with a much better atmosphere, and this wasn't what we're used to from a Caesars property.

I felt safe the whole time, which mattered a lot since I was traveling alone. The service was great, and check-in was easy. The woman at the desk was so nice and welcoming. My room could've been cleaner, but I felt comfortable after wiping things down. There's no coffee maker in the room, though they give you coffee cards for the shop on the first floor. Wi-Fi has been a problem when I've tried to work in the room. The casino is just a few steps away if you want to grab a cocktail and play a little.

I didn't get a room, so I can't comment on that. My wife and I played the slots for about three hours on $150 each, had fun, and got lots of bonus games and free spins. The restaurant wasn't bad. For some reason, the bar can only serve one drink every 20 minutes because of a law or permit, or something like that.
