Red Roof Inn Washington DC - Columbia/ Fort Meade

Room 222 looked decent at first, but the bed was badly sunken, and there was a roach crawling on the floor. Banging and a barking dog kept me awake all night. The old chair was peeling, and the room felt nasty and uncomfortable. I was so grossed out that I couldn't eat my food, and the bed was too uncomfortable to sleep in. I have pictures, but there's nowhere to post them. Don't book here.

The room was spacious, and I only stayed one night. There's no breakfast, so plan to eat out. The area is near a school, behind a highway, with a small street and houses along it. In the morning, I didn't care for seeing sugar on the counter where the coffee should have been.

We stayed overnight and found cockroaches in the morning. I showed the front desk photos, and the response was that they'd call maintenance, but maintenance wouldn't be in until 9 a.m. It was a horrible stay, and I wouldn't recommend the place. They also only provide two towels per room. To get more, you have to turn in your used ones.

Monica, Bethany, and Thalid were respectful and seemed to care about my concerns. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms are clean, the TVs are a decent size, and pets are welcome. I'm still waiting to discuss a previous issue with management, and not being able to reach the manager has cost me about $93.47. I can't fault the employees for following their training, and otherwise I have no complaints.
