Price Pointe Inn

We travel a lot, and this last-minute booking was much better than we expected. The room was clean and smelled clean. Bring a blanket, though, because it can get very cold unless you turn off the AC, and nobody likes quiet. Service was amazing. The bar had just closed, but they still let us buy drinks and take them up to our room. The restaurant and pub are really cool. It’s next to the airport, so we enjoyed watching several planes land and take off. If we make it back to Milwaukee, we’ll definitely stay here again.

This place was super cute, and it seems like the location is great, though we got in after midnight and were only stopping on the way back to North Carolina after dropping my daughter off for work at the Mayo Clinic. We didn’t get to try the sports bar or anything else because everything was closed. The one thing that kept this from being five stars was the thin coverlet on the king bed. There were no extra blankets anywhere, even after I searched the room. I could have changed the air conditioning or heat, but that wasn’t really the point. The cover felt so lightweight that it wasn’t cuddly or comforting to sleep under. One extra blanket in the room would make a big difference. Other than that, the room was cute, the bathroom was clean, and it was a sweet spot.

Gunner was awesome and very personable. He accommodated me because I can’t manage stairs or long walks. The room was nice, but the beds were very uncomfortable. If you have back issues, I’d bring a mattress topper. We came for a pool tournament and thought the lounge with the pool table looked cool. But one of the regulars kept calling me an idiot and telling me to go back to Duluth the whole time we tried to play. It completely ruined our night. That’s why we won’t stay here again.

This little bar is tucked away, but worth finding. It exceeded our expectations: a granite bar, very clean, with a great range of drinks. The bar menu is fun, and nothing is deep fried, it all gets made in the air fryer. Gunner was friendly and knew everyone by name. Looking forward to $2 taco night. Bring a donation for Toys for Tots and get a free drink.
