Super 8 by Wyndham Waverly

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but we couldn’t even get coffee for the road despite the 24/7 coffee offer. My husband went down while I showered and found they were out. He let the desk know politely. An hour later, when we were ready to leave, there was still none. Old filters were sitting in the filter holder in the handwashing sink, which seemed like a major health violation. There was no milk for the cereal, the honey buns looked bad, and the half-and-half was hot. I told the front desk they were still out of coffee; she just smiled, said okay, and went back to watching her show. I was very unhappy, and my poor husband had to put up with my crankiness until I got my morning coffee. Lol.

We stayed three nights, and they provided everything they promised. Andrea at the front desk was amazing, very kind, and took great care of us. We had a great experience.

My dog and I were welcomed with no issues, and the later checkout was really helpful. The people were very nice. I came to Waverly to see family.

We were in town for a funeral. The room and public areas were clean, and the hotel was decent, but the hallway carpet definitely needs replacing. There’s no closet or luggage rack, just three pegs on the wall. You have to ask the front desk for maid service, including trash removal or fresh towels, if you need it more than once every three days. We stayed three days and didn’t eat breakfast there because they were always out of, or nearly out of, everything. The only hot options seemed to be make-your-own waffles, but the regular syrup was empty, or toast with no butter. They did have peanut butter and jelly packets. The apples were soft, and there was cereal but no milk. On the first day, there was no coffee at 6:30 a.m. My husband asked at the desk, and was told, “I can make more.” We went next door to Starbucks.
