The noise made it impossible to relax. Guests and children were shouting in the lobby, garden, and pool area, even though the hotel sits in a quiet part of King of Prussia. It’s about 30-40 minutes from central Philadelphia, which might suit someone looking for a peaceful location, but the property itself was anything but peaceful. The rooms looked old and overdue for renovation, and the towels were worn and yellowish instead of the crisp white you’d expect from a Marriott. Service depended on the shift: mornings were somewhat better, while the afternoon and night staff communicated poorly, offered little help, didn’t smile, and felt unwelcoming. With the dated rooms, poor service, and constant noise, I can’t recommend the Courtyard by Marriott King of Prussia. I’d look at another Marriott property.

The location was beautiful, but the room had nothing special to make it feel like a three-star hotel. It was my first stay here, and I also had to pay separately for parking.

After 50 Bonvoy stays around the U.S. this year, I’d put this property near the bottom of my experiences. I’m a Platinum Bonvoy member and used points for this visit, but the stay disappointed me from check-in onward. No one greeted me or acknowledged my status, and nobody mentioned upgrade options, even though the hotel looked nearly empty on Sunday night. The associate at the desk seemed dismissive and unwelcoming as soon as I approached. My room was dated, worn, and poorly maintained.

The hotel itself was nice, and they arranged a service to send back the purse my daughter left behind. But all the money was taken from her wallet. Who steals from a little girl? What’s strange is that they warned us beforehand that they wouldn’t be responsible for money in the wallet, which they’d found immediately in the lobby as we were leaving. So they must have gone through her little girl’s purse and taken it. Wild.

We were here for a soccer tournament, and the location was hard to beat. An outdoor restaurant area and an upscale grocery store are only four minutes away. Our double queen suite was clean and roomy, with space to spread out, eat comfortably, and keep different sleep schedules. The building was attractive and distinctive, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. I can’t recommend it enough.
