Sports Club Motel

The place itself is awesome. I checked in at 12:38 a.m. Thursday morning, paid for 5 days, and got kicked out today. That doesn't make sense to me, but I guess business is business. Apart from that, it's a great place.

The room had a recliner as well as a table and two chairs, and it came with a small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Everything worked. The water was hot, the pressure was excellent, the linens were spotless, and the flat-screen TV had digital cable. The Wi-Fi was fairly fast with a strong signal. The self-locking doors mean you only need to use your key and don't have to remember to lock up. Though the building sits right by the highway in Wayne, traffic disappears as soon as you shut the door. I opened it to check and could hear the road clearly outside. For a smaller motel, they've put thought into providing what travelers need. The rooms were clean and well furnished, and the staff were friendly. I really enjoyed my stay and will come back the next time I'm in town. Thanks for a great visit!

The rooms were dated, which didn't bother me, and I chose the place for its rates and to support an independent small owner. The cigarette smell in my room was a problem, though, and people were drinking right outside it until midnight. I barely rested that night and won't return.

A quiet, locally owned independent motel with weekly rates that work well for traveling workers. The rates are reasonable, breakfast is served each morning, and there's an in-house washer and dryer with free drying. The grounds and room were clean, housekeeping was great, the location was good, and the staff were excellent. No riff-raff. A great motel for workers.
