The room was in rough shape cleanliness-wise. There was hair and dirt on the bed linens, big yellow marks on the towels, stained chairs, and some light fixtures were missing bulbs. At least the AC worked, and the shower had good heat and pressure. We were only there for one night while visiting family in Waynesboro.

The price was the main reason we chose it, especially with the mixed reviews. I was fine with the firm beds, though the others in my group weren't. We booked for four but found towels for only two. Breakfast was just muffins, juice, and coffee. It'd be nice if they offered hot water and tea too.

We won't be coming back. The front desk did send a maintenance man to get the toilet flushing after we went to the office, but reaching them was a problem: the room phone wasn't connected to anything, and the number on it didn't work either. The room also looked quite different from the website. It seemed the flooring was the only renovated part, and there was no coffee maker despite the online photo. There was an iron holder but no iron or ironing board, and just one hanger. The vanity was badly scratched, the walls had several holes and chipped plaster, and the paint above the headboard didn't match. The box spring was stained, though the top bedding looked clean.

We left a day early because the room smelled bad and was dirty as soon as we walked in. The bathroom wasn't clean either. I booked for UVA graduation weekend because the rate was affordable and wasn't expecting anything fancy, but I did expect basic cleanliness. I wouldn't stay here again.

I was only trying to talk to my mom on the phone, but because I have autism and speak differently, several guests complained about me to the staff. Two men with an unleashed dog asked whether my trained service dog was aggressive, then reported me. An older woman also made up a claim that my dog had attacked her. One female staff member was kind, but management backed these discriminatory complaints instead of supporting a guest with a disability. The lack of empathy was appalling. If you have a service animal, protect your peace and avoid this place.
