We usually go for stand-alone rentals, but my boyfriend and I loved our long weekend at The Dry Ridge Inn. The old inn is beautiful and very well kept, and the beds were some of the most comfortable I’ve had while traveling. Howard and Kristen were kind, gentle, amazing hosts, with top-notch service and breakfast each morning. They also had free water, snacks, wine, and all sorts of amenities. The stay itself became a great part of our visit. I’d absolutely recommend it.

Breakfast was fabulous, and we loved sitting outside watching the wildlife. Kristen and Howard made us feel so welcome. The house was extremely clean, and they had complimentary refreshments, board games, DVDs, and music. Guests can also keep a few things in the shared refrigerator. We were in the cozy Davidson room on the top floor, with a private bathroom and shower. Everything was perfect, and we’re looking forward to coming back! Jeremy & Jessica

The owners were so accommodating and hospitable, and the price was very reasonable. My husband and I found this B&B during a spontaneous, last-minute trip to North Carolina. They booked us and sent confirmation right away. The house was easy to find, clean, quiet, and as quaint as can be. Our third-floor rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious, and there were snacks and drinks for guests to help themselves to. They also have a movie library for rooms with DVD players. I’d come back to NC just to stay and relax here, and I’d recommend it to anyone.

Howard was a great host and had lots of ideas for exploring western North Carolina. I booked a queen room on the second floor, a warm, comfortable spot for reading, relaxing, or picking a movie from the Inn’s library. Kristen’s breakfast changed each day and came with fruit, juice, and, of course, coffee. There’s so much to experience that I’ll have to plan a return trip. Come and enjoy.

We couldn’t have stumbled onto a more perfect place, and we’ll definitely be back. The owners are friendly, the beds are comfortable, and the decor is charming with a peaceful feel. It was easy to find and really reasonably priced for all the amenities, little details, and courtesies. Heading down for breakfast now, and it smells heavenly. Highly recommend!
