Breakfast was the one good part of my stay. Nobody told me the pool and whirlpool were closed, so I got into my swimsuit and went down, only to find a closure sign. The fridge and microwave kept tripping the circuit breaker, and with just two outlets there was nowhere to plug in the coffee maker. I won’t pay to stay here again.

The beds were harder than I like, though someone who prefers a firm mattress might be fine with them. Everything else worked well for us: the hotel was clean and very quiet, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was nice. It ran from 6 to 10 a.m., with waffles, eggs, fried potatoes and a different meat each day, plus oatmeal, cereal, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, English muffins, toast and bagels. The staff also gave lots of love to my two shih tzus. I’d stay again if I’m in the area.

The staff were lovely and helpful, and the prices seemed reasonable. Still, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. My two-week visit came with almost no hot water, uncomfortable beds, dated rooms and coin-operated laundry. The hotel needs a renovation, though none of those problems were the staff’s fault.

The only small thing we’d change is having a wider choice of breakfast pastries. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant stay: the hotel was quiet and spotless, our room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were attentive and friendly, and my wife liked being able to get coffee and tea in the lobby any time, day or night. We’ll stay here again.
