Oxford Inn & Suites - NASA

This isn't somewhere I'd bring my family. The place has a bad reputation, and local police, along with the neighboring hotel, follow you in and out. An officer questioned me, called me a liar even though I was telling the truth, and disrespected me. I told him how I felt, but do they care? No. I ended up with broken ribs and spent three days on concrete. They let me out because there was no evidence and nothing to charge me with, which I already knew. First and last time there. They say they don't discriminate, but they do, people.

We hadn't even been in the room for two minutes when I saw a rat run from under the bed and another from the bathroom. The place was dirty and had roaches too. I immediately asked for my money back so we could leave. The clerk first said there were no refunds, but I did get a refund and stayed peacefully at the Sonesta Suites instead. I've traveled all over the states and never seen anything like it. I can't tell anyone what to do because I don't know their situation, but be careful and ask to see and inspect the room before staying. There was a lot of undercover negativity around the environment too, so choose wisely.

The weekend rate was good, and the location put restaurants and shops just minutes away. The room was clean and typical for an inexpensive hotel, though parts of the floor felt uneven where some tiles looked like they were lifting. There were only two towels. I could have asked for more, but didn't notice until the early morning. The check-in clerk seemed a bit annoyed. One of the cleaning staff, though, was very kind and asked if I was checking out, then reminded me to take everything, including cords and chargers. I'll likely stay again.

Roaches were the first problem. In the morning I needed late checkout, but they refused and knocked on my door right at 11. There were fewer than 10 cars across the whole motel, so it seemed like they could have accommodated me. Even half an hour would have helped. Plenty of hotels don't offer late checkout, so I'd suggest finding one that does.
