We had a comfortable room at a good price, and I was especially relieved to find a shower seat. The cafe nearby is close enough to walk to and had amazing food. I’d stay here again and recommend it to anyone watching their budget.

We were worn out when we stopped, and the place was just okay. The queen room cost more than $120, the bed was hard, and the furniture felt cheap and sparse. It didn’t smell like cigarette smoke, but it did have a musty odor. The bottom of the shower door was very moldy and needs a good scrub with Comet and a toothbrush.

The mountain view was lovely, but the hotel itself is old and the walls are very thin. The online rate said $58 a night, yet we were charged over $150.

The WiFi was strong and the air conditioning worked really well, which mattered with temperatures around 100 F over the last few days. My room was clean and very nice. I’d spent a couple of days at another local motel with lots of problems, so Hi-Lo was a big improvement.

It was comfortable enough and a decent motel, though there’s no mini fridge or microwave. Finding three flies in the bathroom area was a bit off-putting.
