Red Roof Inn Weedsport

The room was clean and roomy, and the staff were working hard to keep the paths clear in the storm. My little dog and I were really grateful for a warm, safe place to stop instead of pushing on through such awful weather. I showed up during a snowstorm without a reservation, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. They had an open room and even let me check in early. I really appreciated how kind they were.

The room had stained sheets, a sink that barely drained, a slimy shower floor, no soap, and a main door that hardly shut. We didn’t see any bugs, thankfully, though I can imagine plenty getting in during warmer weather. In the morning the key stopped working, which made packing up and leaving a hassle. There was almost nothing for breakfast, though there’s a Dunkin across the street. We booked at the last minute on a road trip with pets because the motel allowed pets, had space, and seemed to have decent reviews. I’ve stayed at Red Roof before, but this was my first motel stay, and it’s soured me on the brand. I’m unlikely to stay at one again.

On my last work trip, I left something really important in the room. The staff found it and were willing to mail it back, which I was very grateful for. I’ve stayed here several times, and the rooms have what I need and are clean. The staff are helpful and friendly, so I’ll keep choosing this place when work brings me to town.

The bathroom has four dispensers: shampoo and shower gel in the tub, plus hand soap and lotion by the sink. Only the shampoo one worked, and even that took several pushes to get anything out. When I first checked the bed, there was dirt on the sheets, and the floor felt sticky. I told the front desk, and the clerk came to replace the bedding and mop. This used to be a wonderful Days Inn. Since becoming a Red Roof Inn, it’s gone downhill.
