SureStay Hotel by Best Western Weimar

The room was clean and the hotel is right off I-10, though it’s in dire need of updating. The stay itself was frustrating. At 8:26 am, the front desk called and woke us to ask if we were staying another night, even though our reservation was for one night and we’d already received a receipt at check-in showing checkout at 11. When we turned in the keys at 10:55, we asked if calling so early was normal. She said they were busy, people wanted to check in early, and they needed to clean the rooms. We’d paid for our privacy until 11, and check-in wasn’t until 3. We really needed those extra couple hours of sleep. My husband is a Diamond Elite member, and they never acknowledged it. We stay at BW all over the country, but this one is now near the bottom of our list. Not happy with this BW at all.

Everything was clean, and there wasn't any bad odor at all. The property and rooms were great, and check-in was super fast. I highly recommend it.

The room was dirty, the hallways smelled horrible, and the bathtub was cracked and unsafe for my children. The main doors were being held open with nails, so anyone could walk into the building. On arrival, the older lady at the desk said early check-in, even though we were only two hours early and the room was vacant and cleaned, would cost $25 cash. I asked her to add it to my card, but she insisted she had to have cash. I put my children's belongings in the room, then went to my vehicle to take them to get something to eat and get the money. She came over while I was putting them in the car to ask for the $25, then asked if I was leaving to get the cash. When I came back, she told me to come to the front, was ugly toward me, and charged my card. I've never had somewhere charge me on arrival for being early and then give such horrible customer service. I felt unwelcome and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We were tired on our trip to San Antonio, so we stopped here. It was a good place to stay, with good people and clean rooms. The location was great, just by I 10.
