Haven By The Sea B&B Inn

We’ve stayed here before, and this was our first visit since the new owners took over. They started Valentine’s weekend off beautifully with champagne and a long stem red rose, and they were wonderful hosts. We got our favorite room again, clean, comfortable, and just right. The new door locks will take a little getting used to. Happy Hour was a relaxed chance to share wine and drinks with the owners and other guests in the warm sitting room, and it was lovely meeting everyone. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. We had a great stay and will be back!

There wasn’t a hot breakfast or an active bar during the winter off-season, and staff weren’t often visible. For a beachside inn in late November, that made sense, and the owner was quick and helpful whenever I needed something. I’m hoping to return for the full Haven experience on a spring or summer weekend. My two dogs and I had a calm, cozy weekend here. The room was impeccably clean, the bed and linens were comfortable, and I loved having spa bathrobes, a working propane fireplace, and a deep spa tub. The in-room fridge made it easy to store leftovers or chilled wine. There were books and board games in the common areas, plus holiday decorations that made the place feel like a Hallmark movie. I’d recommend it!

From the outside it could pass for an ordinary hotel, but inside there’s historic character, from the lobby’s vaulted ceiling and natural woodwork to the spiral staircase leading upstairs. The beautiful post beds and the short walk to wells beach were nice touches.

We had a really nice stay. The room was attractive, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast was lovely, especially the coffee. The place is right near the beach and an easy walk from some great shops. The staff were excellent. 10/10.
