The Elmere House Bed & Breakfast

The breakfasts were a highlight, with Bill making delicious food and Michael serving it up alongside easygoing conversation. They made us feel like family, like favorite cousins visiting. The house is rustic and brightly painted, with lawn furniture in the front yard and a gas firepit. The porch is a nice spot for an afternoon BYOB drink, and Bill stopped by to chat about how they got started. Rooms vary in size, but the beds are comfortable. Everything was quiet, clean, and cozy. It's a great base for trips north or south in Maine, and close to The Pound for lobster. We plan to make this our third visit next year.

We hadn't seen hosts Michael and Bill in six years, since they first opened the inn, but they welcomed us into their home like no time had passed. The room, shared areas, and grounds are immaculate, and our room had everything we could ask for. The bed was fantastic, and the jacuzzi felt great after long days of walking, shopping, and eating. Breakfast was wonderful both mornings, with perfect eggs benedict and blueberry pancakes. There aren't enough kind words for the inn or its hosts. Thanks, Bill and Michael. We'll be back soon.

The generous breakfasts were so filling that we skipped lunch. Chef Bill made outstanding French toast, eggs Benedict with Mike's own sauce, and blueberry pancakes, with a good bowl of fresh fruit first. The coffee was really good, too, and the atmosphere was friendly. Bill and Mike take such good care of their guests, and the rooms are beautifully furnished with luxurious linens and all those little things you might need. We just returned from another fabulous few days at Elemere House in Wells, Maine, and wish we could have stayed longer. The whole experience was amazing. I'm sure you'll enjoy it and look forward to coming back. I've never eaten so much in my life! 😉

Bill is an amazing chef, and we had the best breakfast of our Maine vacation. Michael is such a kind person and brings that warmth when he serves breakfast. Elmere house is a beautiful B&B, and our comfortable room had everything we needed. If we're back in the area, we'll definitely choose it again.
