The Holiday House

Patrick was a knowledgeable and helpful host, and made us feel very welcome. My boyfriend and I spent just one night in the lovely Eleanor Roosevelt room, but we quickly fell for this B&B. The bed was really comfortable, and breakfast was the best we had during our whole New England trip. Patrick’s blueberry pancakes with bacon were amazing. Thanks for the hospitality, Patrick!

Patrick gave us a helpful tour when we checked in and suggested dinner spots with some of the best food I’ve ever had. We were here for a quick bachelorette girls trip, and loved the charming, comfortable room. Breakfast was pancakes and bacon, both delicious. It’s a quaint place close to the beaches, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for that kind of stay. We’ll definitely be back!

The setting is quiet and restful, with beautifully kept grounds, and we got to enjoy the ocean air during our three nights here. Our host Patrick was charming, looked after our comfort, and had good suggestions for local dining and entertainment. Ogunquit shops and Main St. are less than five minutes away, and there are great ethnic restaurants nearby. This 1814 home has been a B&B for over a century. Antiques and art fill the well-appointed rooms, and American history feels present throughout. We stayed in the Roosevelt room, named for First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, who stayed there while visiting her family. Amenities were plentiful and easy to access, and breakfast was gourmet, served with restaurant precision. It was a very comfortable, relaxing stay, and a wonderful way to enjoy Maine.

Our host knew the area well and gave us suggestions for places to eat and Maine sights to see. Breakfast was delicious, with a different offering each morning and attention to dietary restrictions and accommodations. The guest room was comfortable but still elegant, and the home itself is beautiful and conveniently located. It had everything I wanted from a bed and breakfast.
