A double bed, kitchenette, and balcony for a lot less than the Holiday Inn or other hotel and motel choices. Best value I’ve found while up in Maine.

We spent $1400 for six nights, and it really wasn’t worth it. The place was clean inside, but room number #129 smelled like cigarettes when we arrived even though the rules clearly say no smoking in or on the property. The porch needed cleaning too, with cigarette butts on the ground and leftover fall leaves on the screen. Inside, the TV looked like it had just been thrown on the wall, there were staples in the bathroom floor, and the pots and pans weren’t usable. The coffee maker didn’t work properly. I put in 10 cups of water and got six cups of coffee or less. We bought a foam mattress topper at Walmart because the bed was awful. The room chair had a piece of plywood under the cushion. Very disappointed with the effort and money put into this place.

The pool water is freezing, which is tough when swimming is why we stay here. This is our third visit to Wellington Manor, and the first two were pretty good, apart from there being no pots and pans to cook with on the second stay. We’re in Unit 126 now, and it reeks of fish. We called the Maine customer service yesterday and were told someone would come out, but no one has. There’s only one drinking glass and one small saucepan in the unit, and the shower curtain is moldy. Not everyone can afford to eat out for every meal. We’re very unhappy.

We found a big ball of white hair tangled in a bathroom towel on our first night in room 215. We changed the bedding right away, but after sleeping in that bed all week, I discovered a pair of PINK brand purple panties underneath it. When we left, I washed the dishes we’d used and wrote a note on a coffee filter saying, "found panties and hair in room." They charged me a 140$ cleaning fee. What a joke. If cleanliness matters to you, I’d strongly recommend staying somewhere else in the area.

We arrived well after check-in time and found all the laundry still on the floor in our room. We went to see the pool while we waited, but it was gross, with dirt covering the bottom and sides.
