On our second night, I started to think the place might be combining a B&B with spa services. There are rooms for massages, a salt room, sauna, and a salon for manicures and pedicures, though I didn't see anyone using them. I didn't spot a kitchen either, which might explain the breakfast. The food was left in our room: muffins, Greek yogurt, granola, and a coffee maker, but no mugs there, so I had to find some elsewhere in the building. I missed the more traditional B&B breakfast. A breakfast voucher for a nearby place might be nice. There's a good dinner spot a few blocks away that could work for breakfast, too. We stayed two nights, and the house and our room were beautiful, romantic, and well appointed, as in the photos. I loved the plush robes and jetted tub. The location is great for walking downtown, and parking is available. The contactless setup meant everything went through email, with no one on site, so it lacked the personal touch of an innkeeper or staff. That's why this was a difficult review: how much that matters depends on what you value as a guest. The property and room were so nice that I raised my rating to five stars despite those reservations. I wish the owners luck with their concept, and would consider returning even if it stays the same.

We came to Wellsboro for the grand canyon and for stargazing at cherry springs state bark. The town is small and quaint, and we'll be back. We plan to stay at La Belle Auberge in the Jardin Room again. The bed was super comfortable, the room very clean, and the huge bathroom had a jacuzzi tub. There was also a small balcony overlooking the garden, plus a nice front porch for relaxing or having a drink. The minifridge had yogurt and orange juice, along with granola and mixed nuts, which was a nice touch. I'd never stayed at a B&B before because I felt odd about staying in a stranger's home, but this visit made me much more open to trying others.

We spent two nights in the Jardins room and loved our stay at the La Belle. After hiking, it was so relaxing to come back to a cozy, quiet, well-kept room with a comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. There was even a small, cute balcony attached. The staff were friendly and quick to respond to requests. Shops and restaurants are right in the center of town, just a short walk away. We'd definitely stay again.

The property is beautifully done, and the gardens are lovely. We had a wonderful stay in the Jardin room, with its comfy queen-size bed, cute private balcony, and relaxing Jacuzzi tub.
