Downtown Inn

The staff were really friendly, it was quiet, and the beds were comfortable. A few things bugged me: half the lights in the room didn’t work, the toilet made a ridiculous noise the whole time, and the floors were filthy. Bring house shoes if you stay.

Clean, nice, and affordable, one block from the historic district. The staff were friendly. The parking lot lights were super bright at night, but they were off by morning. I’d stay again.

The location is convenient, with restaurants nearby, and the service was great. The area was quiet, though a bit questionable. The online pictures didn’t match what we found: the rooms are very dated, and the door to the room my son and I stayed in looked like someone had broken through it. There was a mirror across from the bathroom with lights above it that didn’t work, which made us feel uneasy and uncomfortable. The beds were stiff, and the pillows were a stiff, fluffy type if that’s what you like. Be prepared for what you’re paying for if you stay.

This wasn’t a kid-friendly place, and we felt unsafe whenever we went out to the car because the location seemed terrible. I hadn’t realized it was also a long-stay hotel, so it seemed like some people were living there. We couldn’t sleep at all. The room was dirty. With my children crawling around, I could see how dirty it was from their clothes. There were food crumbs beside one bed and in its sheets. Another bed had a stained sheet with what looked like blood and even a booger. We always travel with our own sheets because of this. The couches were so filthy we didn’t sit on them. At night we saw a bug crawling on the wall behind the beds. We panicked because we couldn’t tell if it was a bed bug, though we think it wasn’t. We moved the beds to check for more and didn’t find any. But behind them, the floor was extremely dirty, with lots of food. There were also ants in the bathroom and even spiders. Definitely not a family-friendly hotel.
