Express Inn

There were drinks left in the fridge by previous renters, and it didn't work. The owner assumed we wanted a smoking room without asking. We were told we couldn't cook in the room, but a sign or a heads-up at check-in would've been nice. The shower ceiling had mold and was caving in, and there were hairs on the white sheets.

I used to stay here without problems, until I rented a room with two beds. At night I needed toilet paper, but nobody was there. A man was ringing the bell for service too, and we waited about 10 minutes with no response. I called to get someone, and once he was helped it was my turn. I only asked for a roll of toilet paper, but the older lady was mad and didn't smile. I was paying $85 plus tax for the same room the other man got for $70. When I asked about another night, she said $84 plus tax. I asked why and she said it was because I had my kids. What do my kids have to do with that? She even handed my money back rudely. She doesn't have the attitude or heart to work there.

The owner, Ricky Patel, has clearly done a wonderful job maintaining the property inside and out. The rooms were spacious, smelled sanitized, and were clean, clean, clean, with fresh linens and towels. Staff were courteous and respectful. I was driving from Dallas Texas to Weslaco Texas and needed a place to rest because I was exhausted. I'm affiliated with Wyndham rewards, Hotels. Com.and Expedia, but I was too tired to deal with all that when I saw the flashing Express Inn sign. I've had bad experiences at some hotels like that, but this one was a cut above. I don't know if I'll be in Weslaco again, but if I am, this is where I'll stay. Thanks for making me feel at home and letting me rest without worry.

We've stayed here twice for a full week each time, and the room was nice and clean. We always had clean towels, and the owner was friendly enough to let us use his personal grill for cooking. The room price was great. Definitely recommend it, thank you!
