The river out back is a nice touch, and the location is great, just two minutes from the Bear Mountain gondola. The room was clean and the price was reasonable, plus there’s a big hot tub pool. Still, the bed felt small and uncomfortable, and there’s no elevator. They’ve done renovations and have the facilities, but the place could have a better feel to it. The old, beautiful building and modern updates don’t quite come together. I feel like the hotel could offer more. Hope things go well for you in the future.

The creek outside the room made for a really peaceful stay, and it was an easy drive into town for restaurants. We stopped for one night on our way from Woodstock, VT to Stowe, and check-in was simple. The girls were so welcoming and friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

I didn’t stay, so I can’t comment on the rooms. The location looks good on Google Maps for getting to the ski area, but dealing with management was awful. They hid behind Airbnb’s policy while also having an internal 48-hour policy, even though they can waive the fee on Airbnb. Changing the date wasn’t possible. Airbnb tried to mediate because extenuating circumstances prevented travel, but management refused everything.

I arrived late in the evening and stayed in a lower-level room. It was clean and cozy, with a comfortable atmosphere, and the prices seemed fair. The pull-out couch was ten times more comfortable than the bed, which felt cheap. You can hear everything from the people upstairs, so I’d recommend a top-floor room.

After nearly ten years of ski trips here with my old man, we still love coming back. The heated pool feels amazing after a full day skiing, and there’s great food nearby. It’s basic, but what else do you need? We’ll keep coming back.
