The staff were respectful and accommodating, and the room was very good for my one-night stay. I’d stay here again, for work or a personal trip.

The location worked well for us, just 3/4 mile from the wedding we were attending. But the outside was filthy, with bird poop all over the corridor and stairs, and the plastic tables and walls by the rooms looked like they’d never been cleaned. It needs a thorough power washing. Inside felt like stepping back into the 60s or 70s, and not in a good way. I don’t need much and usually prefer a motel to a hotel, but wow. We paid $180 for what felt like a $60 room, stayed 10 hours, and touched as little as possible. I can see the place being adorable without a big investment. A coat of paint, new bedspreads, a coffee maker, and a mini fridge would be a start.

I booked a room for November 5 because this hotel allows pets. I was planning to attend a burial service in Hardwick Massachusetts, but the plans fell through shortly after I made the reservation. When I tried to cancel, I was told I’d agreed to a no-refund policy, though nobody mentioned that when I booked. Given the delicate circumstances around the cemetery burial, I’ll be very upset if they don’t refund me. I’ll post again to say whether they show any compassion or offer a way to resolve this. If they don’t, I’ll definitely contact the Better Business Bureau.

There was a dank, musty smell, and the room had a stained chair, nowhere to put toiletries, a rusty heater, and an AC unit coated in dust that wouldn’t shut off. The bath mat was stained too, and there was pubic hair on the shower walls. I paid for two nights but left after one. This motel was so bad I should’ve slept in my car. It could be nice if someone took care of it.
