Hotel Indigo West Chester - Downtown by IHG

We’ll be back. The downtown location made it easy to walk around, parking was right next door, and the rooms were beautiful. The restaurant food was delicious too. But what stood out most was how helpful the staff were on Sunday morning, 3.1. My son and I dropped a glass juice bottle in the lobby, and the check-in and cafe staff quickly cleaned up the glass and spill, then helped wipe juice off my things. I caught the names Angie and Alanis, and the check-in manager pitched in as well. Excellent service.

It was our first stay at a Hotel Indigo, and after a wonderful visit in October, we’ll probably come back. Check-in was quick and the person helping us was friendly and professional. Our room felt spacious, clean, and remarkably quiet, with comfortable beds and attractive modern decor. The bathroom was nice too, and the shower worked well. For an upscale IHG stay, Hotel Indigo West Chester was a good experience.

We didn’t get to try the hotel restaurants or basement hangout since we were out exploring each day. Around town, OPA Taverna, Oola Bowls, Crisp Chikin', and Limoncello are all within walking distance and worth checking out. The hotel’s location made it easy to walk to everything, including the Performing Arts Center, which was just around the corner. Parking was $10 a day in the well-lit, six-level garage, second floor, only steps away. The front desk validated it for in-and-out access. Ms. Clarifer made check-in and checkout easy, always smiling and courteous. The hotel also contacted us before arrival to make sure the room would be ready around our estimated arrival time, and it was. I appreciated the follow-up texts from Ms. Clarifer and Mr. Josh. Our room was spotless and modern, like other Hotel Indigo properties we’ve visited. I liked the portraits around the room and floor, and the lobby’s fruit-flavored water was refreshing. There was everything we needed beyond our own travel supplies. It was a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. A couple of things could be better: the bathroom sink water pressure was low, and the water could have been warmer. I’d also like IHG to offer points for skipping housekeeping, and perhaps a points refund when breakfast is included in the room rate but you can’t make it. Even so, I’d recommend giving the hotel a try for a future stay.

West Chester has those Hallmark movie vibes, with holiday decorations and boutique shops, and I hadn’t visited before. Now I’d like to return, especially to Hotel Indigo. It’s easy to get around from there, with the parking garage next door and restaurants and stores within walking distance. The hotel itself was incredible, from the clean rooms and welcoming team to the restaurant, speakeasy bar, cafe, and nice gym. The staff made the stay memorable, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. Thank you!
