The Valorian West Hollywood, Curio Collection

I could hear music even from the top floor, since this place has more of a party-hotel feel. A white noise machine, which I always bring when I stay in hotels, covered it easily. The walls are thin too. I could hear my neighbors' alarm clearly, and I'm sure they heard mine, though thankfully neither of us was loud. Still, it's something to keep in mind. The place is nice, very clean, with a great bed and a good atmosphere. The staff and valet were friendly too.

My husband and I came from the East Coast to visit our son, and Jason Vance took a special interest in understanding what we needed. He made everything feel effortless and added a thoughtful touch to our stay. He's incredibly attentive, very kind, and the best concierge.

My room was neat and clean, with a gorgeous view of the strip. I enjoyed the pool, and maybe had a few too many Aperol spritz, lol. Adrian's hospitality and top-tier service really stood out. Honestly, I don't have anything bad to say except the room service setup, which kind of sucks. You can't order drinks to your room, you have to order bottle service. What hotel on planet earth does bottle service to your room? I'm not trying to have some girl show up with sparklers and a sign. I just want an Aperol spritz while I get ready. Am I asking for too much? I don't think so. Anyway, that's my only negative, so five out of five from me. Mondrian? Looks like you're going to Hollywood, baby!

Sunset is a nice location, clean and safe, with easy access to great parts of West Hollywood, including restaurants and bars. But be aware that this is a party hotel. If that's your scene, it may suit you; if not, here's what happened on my stay. Valet parking is the only option and costs 70 dollars daily, and there's a 51 dollar daily amenity fee. Pool bar drinks average 22 dollars to 26 dollars each, and the tip is already included in the bill, so check before adding more. The first night was awful. The people next door kept going in and out, yelling and talking loudly, and slamming their door every 10 minutes until well into 3 and 4 AM. They showed no regard for anyone else. I called the front desk and was told they'd put in a noise complaint, but nothing changed. I got maybe three hours of sleep at best. The next morning I asked to change rooms because of the neighbors. They moved me one floor up to the exact same room and rushed me to gather my things. It was finally quieter, and I could sleep that night.
