Park Vista Inn

After riding 400 miles, a group of old, tired bikers couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax. We spent the evening around the fire with amazing local brews and signature cocktails, sharing lots of laughs with the new owners, Sommer Ray and her husband. They’re young, energetic, charismatic, fun, and so hospitable. The staff were what you’d expect at a 5-star hotel. We found Park Vista Motor Lodge while looking for a place for 15 bikers during peak fall season in the western North Carolina mountains. The rooms were beautiful and newly renovated, and the on-site diner served some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. The general store is a beautiful piece of history to explore. It’s right off the Blue Ridge Parkway too, which is so convenient for anyone traveling that scenic stretch. We’ll definitely be back, very soon and as often as we can.

The room was excellent, with lovely design and one of the best hotel beds I’ve slept in. Check-in was easy with the self-service setup, and the location is beautiful. This really is a hidden gem, and I’ll be back to this peaceful oasis. One suggestion for the diner: add vegan options, especially coffee with oat, soy, or almond milk. There aren’t any right now.

We booked two rooms and will be back. Both were very clean, with beautiful hardwood floors and lovely art decor. They had coffee, tea, a microwave, and a fridge, and self check-in was easy. There’s a diner and general store on site. We enjoy supporting mom-and-pop businesses, so if you do too, you’ll enjoy staying here. The location is hard to beat, and you can tell a lot of love and work went into this motel. We appreciate it.

Our group of 17 kids and chaperones had a great trip and plans to come again. The rooms were modern and well furnished, and the diner at the bottom of the hill was accommodating and delicious. The scenery was perfect, and we were less than 30 minutes from both the ski resort and Boone.
