Campus Inn

The room was spotless, and the owners were warm and helpful. We had some trouble getting the Wi-Fi going at first, but once we figured it out, everything was great. The location is convenient, and we'd gladly stay at the Campus Inn again when we visit Purdue University and Wolf Park.

For a low-cost place near Purdue campus, this was a surprisingly good option. I was visiting campus and found it perfectly decent for a night's sleep. The room even had more outlets than some pricier hotels I've stayed in. The beds weren't too uncomfortable, and the shower had hot water and good pressure.

The building is old and established, with no fancy extras, but it had the basics I needed for a good night's sleep. I was at my conference site in about five minutes, and the front desk clerk was helpful. The room and bed were clean, the shower was nice and hot, and both the TV remote and Wi-Fi worked. I also grabbed coffee and a roll on my way out.

The Wi-Fi never worked for me, and the room smelled so musty it was making me feel sick. We ended up buying an air purifier to make it smell decent. The carpet was stained, and the chair was so dirty I didn't want to sit in it. During a busy Purdue weekend, I asked to switch from one bed to two doubles, and the owner wanted another $65 for the change. I wasn't impressed. Barely a one-star hotel, and I wouldn't stay here.
