We felt at home at The Cabernet Inn, thanks to Jess and Bruce, who were warm, funny, and incredibly helpful with ideas for places to eat and explore around North Conway. Jess, a professional chef, puts together a wonderful breakfast, while Bruce brings plenty of humor to the conversation. The inn itself is cozy, with vintage decor, moose items and needlepoint, and lovely rooms, especially the luxury suite. We’d happily return again. I’ve shared more details in my full review at bit.ly/cabernetinn.

The White Mountains made for a fun winter getaway, with a great snowmobiling outing followed by a delicious dinner at Stonehurst. The package deals are a good choice, and the hospitality was wonderful too. I’d definitely come back.

The owners clearly care about this quiet, cozy place. Breakfast was just right, and they did so much to make sure their guests were looked after. I’d highly recommend it.

We saw a black bear cub in the backyard, and the property itself is large, with bathtubs in most rooms. It could be a nice place to stay, but the management needs serious work. The owner was rude when we arrived, and throughout our stay we kept getting threatening messages about calling the police because four people were outside preparing food on the BBQ or because people called one another’s names inside the cabin. They also charged us for not stripping the sheets, even though that wasn’t required in the agreement they sent us. The place can hold 24 people, so they can’t expect a group that size to stay completely silent while sending constant threatening texts. They apparently also regularly track guests inside the cabin through cameras. With better management, this could be a nice stay.

Breakfast, made by Jessica, was far better than I expected, and Bruce and Jessica were so sweet and welcoming. Their dog Fanny was adorable too. We only had a short visit, but it was one of my best experiences. Bruce greeted us at the door even though we arrived late, then showed us around. Our fireplace room was spotless and put together nicely, with a really comfortable bed. It felt like a bedroom joined to a living room. We’ll be back to North Conway and staying here again. Thank you!
