Holiday Inn Express and Suites West Memphis by IHG

The hotel had several basic problems, and the staff didn’t address them. The body wash was empty when we arrived. The gym water was yellow, and when I told the front desk, they just said to use other water instead of fixing it. After it snowed the next morning, the driveway was completely covered and extremely slippery. The hotel had a shovel but didn’t use it, so my grandmother cleared the driveway herself. Late at night, a woman opened our room door without knocking, then closed it. It was terrifying and left us feeling completely unsafe. Someone was also smoking right outside, and the smoke came straight into our room. With the safety issues, poor maintenance, and lack of care from staff, this hotel was unacceptable. It was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had.

The staff are wonderful, and the front desk gave excellent help. I’m sorry I can’t remember your name, but you were lovely. Holiday Inn is well placed and easy to access. Holiday Inn website folks, please note that Apple Maps sent me to the wrong side of the road and added 10 minutes. I forgot to mention it at reception. It was a super long drive to Memphis, and I wasn’t at my best. Keep it up.

The breakfast buffet was extensive, and having parking and EV charging was a huge plus. The rooms were pristine, the beds comfortable, and the soundproofing did enough to keep things quiet near the highway. This property, new or recently redone, exceeded my expectations. Late check-in was seamless. Just go for it!

The Holiday Inn express in West Memphis is a good stop for travelers passing through the Memphis area. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, and the shower has great water pressure. Best part is the breakfast: good scrambled eggs, real Bacon, and delicious coffee.
