Homegate Inn and Suites

Getting in and back onto the interstate was easy, and the place itself was clean and nice. There wasn’t breakfast, and the lobby was closed. Bring your own water, since the tap water tasted pretty awful. Taxes are ridiculously high.

The staff seemed to take pride in the place. As I left, I saw them wiping down the outdoor stair railings, and the room was quiet and clean. Check-in was easy, too. For this price, that level of care was a refreshing surprise. I’ve paid twice as much at other hotels and had much worse stays. Stop and stay here.

I was surprised by how well kept everything was for the price, even after reading the other reviews. The parking lot and sidewalks looked fantastic, and they’d cleaned the little nooks and crannies that usually get missed. The building even seems newer than I first thought. There are USB ports and outlets on the nightstands, though they’re easy to miss. See photo. The front desk lady was great, too. Come stay here. You won’t regret it.

The king bed didn’t sag in the middle, and the room was worth the price. Everything else in the room was fine, except the TVs need their aspect ratio adjusted, and you can’t do that with the TV buttons or remote. Staff were welcoming, quick, and competent, and the good reviews about cleanliness and value are true. Thanks for the great job, staff. God bless your hard work there!
