Park Inn by Radisson Sharon

My boyfriend and mom booked two rooms here, and we won't stay again. The rooms were cold, with no heat, and the small space heater didn't work. They were dirty, the rooms hadn't been vacuumed, and there was trash outside. The coffee pot was filthy, with mildew at the bottom. There was only a sheet, no comforter or blanket, and the tub had rust. The doors were unlocked, so anyone could walk in. The elevator was broken, leaving elderly guests to climb the stairs. The kitchen was indefinitely closed, so there was no breakfast, and the pool was freezing while kids tried to swim. No one was at the check-in desk, and it took about an hour for someone to show up. We called the police because we couldn't find anyone, and they said we were the seventh call about this hotel. Management only works two days a week. When we asked for a refund, staff couldn't issue one because it had to go through management.

We didn't stay the night. The first room they showed us was being heated by a space heater, and the second already had someone in it. On the way, we saw vomit in the hallway, a wide-open back door, and a pool that was a lovely shade of green. The furniture was mismatched and tacky, and the whole place seemed run-down. Priceline had listed it as a 3.5-star hotel, but this didn't feel like even a one-star property. We booked through Priceline and tried to get a refund for the night we didn't use. The manager was unavailable to approve it. After more than two weeks, Priceline finally said they'd refund us regardless of the manager's approval. Do not book here!

The check-in took 25 minutes, and the guy at the desk was argumentative and terribly rude. His directions to the room weren't clear, so we wandered around the floors. We passed kicked-in doors, hallways lined with big black bags of garbage, and a strong marijuana smell that had my kids asking what it was. The parking lot was full of trash, and the building entrance had no door because it had been broken off. Our poolside room had only two pillows per bed, hard beds, dingy old towels, and a Honeywell space heater. I could go on, but you get the idea. The indoor pool area looks neat, though the water was cold. Zero stars.

This place was awful. Our room wasn't ready for two hours, so we couldn't check in until 6 pm. The elevator was out, and we had to take the stairs. There were no bulbs in the lamps, the toilet wouldn't flush, the shower wouldn't drain, and the TV had no remote. Trash was everywhere, and the outside doors were broken and felt completely unsafe. The only service I can speak to was the woman at the desk, who gave me half my money back the next day. Wish I'd believed the reviews and read them beforehand. Smh.
