Best Western West Monroe Inn

We came for a couple of baseball games and needed somewhere to stay for two nights. We normally steer clear of places with exterior room entrances, so I wasn’t sure about booking here. The rooms turned out to be surprisingly nice, and breakfast was a real plus. Mariah kept the area tidy and organized, and made sure the coffee kept coming.

The good price was appreciated, but I wouldn’t drink the water. It looked discolored in both the tub and sink, and felt soft and slimy. Even after washing, that film wouldn’t come off my skin. When I showered, the tub was slippery, and I could see black marks where my feet had touched it. I also noticed light brown discoloration around the drain throughout my stay. I hadn’t thought much of the room until I realized how filthy the floor was. I usually wear socks or slippers in hotel rooms, but had forgotten. Please clean the toilet and get the water tested.

I arrived on Sunday and found what looked like a bodily fluid stain on the pillowcase. There was more on the pillow underneath, so I figured the sheets probably hadn’t been changed. I thought they’d take care of it the next day, but they didn’t. After a week, I went to pay for another week and politely asked to have the sheets changed on Friday. No one did it, so I asked again on Saturday. When I went to the office on Sunday to pay for the following week, they’d raised the price by almost $200. I asked once more about the sheets, and nobody came.

August 2025. My room was clean and I had no issues with it. Vin was at the front desk when I arrived. An elderly man slipped and got a nasty skin tear, but there was no first aid equipment at the desk, so I patched him up myself. The lobby floors need rugs, and they should have a first aid kit.
