The location is handy if you're going to the Ike Hamilton event center across the street, and the front desk guy was very nice at check-in. But the hotel itself is a dump, and Hilton should take its name off it ASAP. The lobby smelled like natural gas and damp carpet. Only one elevator worked, and it rumbled. Our room had a dank, musty wet smell, and there were exposed pipes in the shower. There was no hot water unless you used an up, up, down, down cheat code: turn on the sink, then turn everything off and back on. We only learned that from another review the next morning. We arrived late at night and would have walked right back out otherwise. We canceled our second night and moved to the Home2Suites property next door. It says a lot that the front desk staff at both hotels knew exactly why we moved before we even explained.

The front desk lady was pleasant, the service was great, the location worked well, and the rooms were spacious, which was a plus. Still, we expected much more than stepping into 1960. The room smelled like cow poop as soon as we entered, and I wish it had been clean and free of that moldy smell. The bathroom needs an upgrade so you can relax after a long trip. As a Hilton Garden, the property needs updating. The 6.6 rating on bookings.com seems like a fair representation of the rooms.

As a Hilton Diamond Member, I expected better. The tub was rusty and dirty, some towels weren't clean and the rest were dingy, and the shower curtain looked mildewed. The water turned brown while it was running. At check-in I was quoted one price, but the receipt showed a higher amount. I also wasn't offered the complimentary water or snacks, and there weren't any in the room. The conditions were disgusting enough that I left before 6 a.m. When I called later, the front desk lady took my details, said someone would contact me, and mentioned they were having water problems. I've tried to reach management over the last two weeks and still haven't heard back. It almost felt like staying at a Motel 6.

I ended up needing another night, but chose a different hotel rather than stay here again. As an HH member, I usually look for a Hilton when I travel, but this property has really lost its luster. It's dated throughout, needs a serious deep clean, and is far too expensive for what you get. The hall carpets had horrible stains everywhere, the furniture in my room was badly stained, and one pillow was covered in yellow marks and should be thrown away. The high room price doesn't match the poor quality. A box of peanut M&Ms in the lobby cost $4, and breakfast wasn't complimentary, even though cheap hotels offer some kind of free breakfast. There were no USB ports in the room, so I had to go buy a charger. The in-room coffee maker didn't work, so I had to go into town for coffee. The air conditioner rattled all night, and I had to turn it off, so I barely slept. So much for a relaxing weekend. Shame on Hilton and the owner for letting the place run down. Do better or shut it down. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it.

The first room was disgusting, with really dirty sheets, dingy pillowcases, and a comforter that looked like a mechanic had slept on it for a week without washing it. The carpet was damaged in several spots. They moved us to a much cleaner room, but there was no hot water. Good luck taking a shower at this so-called Hilton. Breakfast cost extra and was fit for a soup kitchen. If you want a decent stay, go somewhere else. I've had better at a Super 8.
