Palm Beach Lakes Hotel

The location is a big plus. It's near the airport and close to lots of shopping, and most of the front desk staff are nice. But I stayed here a few years ago and came back, and I won't book again. I'm really disappointed after having a good experience last time. When my flight landed, I got a call about an issue with my room. It wasn't a big deal, so I asked the agent if I could check in early. She said yes, but at the hotel I was told there was an extra fee that hadn't been mentioned on the phone. The bathrooms weren't cleaned well, and I had to buy my own cleaning products to feel they were sanitary. I also couldn't rest properly because the cleaning and maintenance staff were loud. The room doors aren't very thick, so you can hear what's happening outside, and the carts and yelling started as early as 7 a.m. The staff made an already thin-walled room even noisier.

Astrid was really helpful and considerate, and Ron at the desk was gracious and professional. Our room faced the courtyard, a relaxing spot with a heated pool. The rooms have been newly renovated and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is also very convenient to PBI, restaurants, and West Palm, and breakfast was free. Thank you!

The garden courtyard and pool felt romantic and secluded, with umbrellas, fountains, sculptures, and quiet corners. The hotel has a 1940s or 50s look, but the rooms are updated and exceptionally clean. Our room was comfortable, though the bathroom was quite small. Breakfast had variety and the coffee was especially good, but the fruit choices could be better. The staff were excellent. Steven at the front desk was professional and friendly. My complaint is the worn, small towels, faded sheets, and awful old pillows. Upgrading all the linens would make guests more comfortable. I recommend the hotel.

The pool is well kept, though its furniture is worn, torn, and frayed. The rooms are clean and the place is nice, but the beds are just okay, and the desk chair is dangerous and unusable. Update: We had to say it four times and make three tries to get the toilet unplugged. We ended up using public restrooms, and the toilet was still plugged when we left.
