Hyatt Place West Palm Beach/Downtown

The general manager at this hotel, Schallin Logan, was rude, condescending, and uncaring on the phone, with terrible customer service. My son had a medical emergency and needed surgery, so he couldn't use his prepaid one-night reservation. We understood the no-cancellation and no-refund policy and respect the rules, but Hyatt Corporate and other Hyatt hotels had advised us that exceptions can be made for medical emergencies. He had medical documents to support what happened. She refused to return his money, had a very bad attitude, and even said she could refund it but chose not to. That's no way to treat a customer. We won't book at this particular hotel again.

The hotel is clean and nice overall, and the staff are friendly. The bedrooms let it down a bit: there are no microwaves, which is a big drawback when there are so many restaurants nearby and you're likely to bring leftovers back. One bed is so close to the AC that it almost blocks it, and the internet isn't great. Apart from those things, the hotel is fine.

Our law firm spent three weeks at Hyatt Place, West Palm Beach/Downtown for an out-of-town trial with 12 attorneys and staff. Michael Haysmer, Director of Sales, and sales assistant Crystal Ramirez made the planning and setup of our war rooms almost effortless from beginning to end. The meeting rooms worked well for our needs and let the team work without interruption. Guest rooms were stylish, fresh, and kept in excellent condition throughout the stay. The recently redecorated lobby is bright and inviting. The staff were attentive, responsive, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Everyone we met made an effort to look after the group, and their positive attitude made the hotel feel like a home away from home. We truly appreciate the hospitality. The stay was pleasant and memorable, and we look forward to returning. I'd highly recommend it to anyone wanting strong service and a welcoming atmosphere.

Djully at the front desk was warm and kind, and went out of her way to make check-in easy. Cletus, the Manager, also made me feel welcome and valued as a Hyatt Globalist as soon as I arrived. That kind of customer service is one of the reasons I love the Hyatt brand. The location is great for exploring, with an easy walk to restaurants both on the island and in downtown West Palm Beach. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with what I needed for a relaxing stay. I had a wonderful visit and would recommend Hyatt Place West Palm Beach. I'm already looking forward to coming back.
