Carillon Beach Inn 310

Carillon has the feel of a charming, upscale beach town, with shops, dining, and a relaxed atmosphere. There are pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, and a basketball court, too. We especially loved having private beach access for Carillon guests. The shoreline was peaceful and beautiful, without crowds. The location also made it easy to drive to food and shopping in Panama City Beach, Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, Seaside, and Grayton Beach. My husband and I loved our stay at Carillon Beach Resort Inn and are already making plans to come back. It's seriously the best place for a beach getaway!

The view was fabulous, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean with great AC. Check-in was a breeze since they texted me the room code before I arrived. Service was good, and we had no complaints about it. Towels were easy to exchange, and there was a laundry room on the fourth floor if we'd wanted to do a wash. The pools were clean and well maintained, the flowers and landscaping looked beautiful, and the beach was awesome. The lake algae was in full bloom, but we didn't notice any bad smells. I was almost put off by the negative Google reviews when planning this June 2022 trip on a friend's recommendation, but I'm glad I kept the reservation. There were some cosmetic and maintenance details that could be improved in room 515: the toilet paper holder was barely attached, the tub could use fresh caulk, the baseboards need paint, and the kitchen's small bar sink had the hot and cold taps reversed. None of that spoiled our stay. The resort is easy to get around on foot if walking isn't an issue. We used a cart for our beach gear and walked there each day. A shuttle was available, and we took it on the first day, though we preferred walking after that. I'd definitely stay again. It's a lovely community.

The grounds were very clean even with dogs around, and we enjoyed seeing them. The lake is beautiful, and the pool area was great. It was also very quiet. Our condo wasn't as clean as we'd hoped, though I put that on the condo owner. The walk to the beach was a bit farther than I wanted. We'd stay here again.

This room is beautiful, and I felt a real sense of peace throughout the place. There are lovely pools and beach access, plus shops, bike and golf cart rentals, and somewhere to get your hair and nails done. What a beautiful place to stay.
