Western Inn

We enjoyed staying here, and the office staff were really friendly. The hotel was full all weekend, but the neighbor was okay, nothing bad. Having Whataburger close by was handy since it’s open 24 hours, especially for coffee and late-night food. It’d be nice if the rooms had coffee, though. We’d stay again.

The bathroom was very clean, and there was a microwave and small fridge in the room. The rest of the room wasn’t appealing, the bed was uncomfortable, the TV didn’t work, and we killed a few bugs. The AC unit was right over the bed, which was wild. Check-in was okay, though there was a security deposit. We couldn’t find our room at first, then a man appeared out of nowhere to show us where it was, which felt creepy. The next morning I argued with the cleaning lady because she was upset that we’d put the do not disturb sign on the door handle. You get what you pay for, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

For a cheap room, I’d look elsewhere. This was just okay and felt overpriced, since better rooms are available for less.

The shower pressure was too low, and the place was farther from where I was visiting my daughter than I wanted. Still, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well arranged the room was. It had only the bare minimum furniture, but looked nice. The bed was comfortable, and the laminate floor was clean. The bathroom was tiled floor to ceiling and clean, and the fridge and microwave were clean too. All in all, it was a good room and a great place to stay.
