Motel 6 West Sacramento, CA

The bathroom looked so nice, with a rainfall shower head and “marble” walls, way beyond what I expected. Check-in was easy and there wasn’t really an issue with the room. We only had about five hours before our flight and could sleep for maybe three of them. The pillows were nice, but the bed was pretty bad. Honestly, it felt broken. I just wish it had been better.

We stayed here for the Aftershock festival, and it was great to come back afterward to a quiet place to relax. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and when I mentioned a problem with the TV, they fixed it right away.

We had kids with us, and people in the next room were doing hard drugs. The smell came through the shared wall. They pounded on our wall and door all night, played extremely loud music, and screamed for hours. We couldn’t get a room change. There was only a kiosk and someone working remotely, so calling the office made no difference. I’ll never stay at a Motel 6 again, anywhere. I’d rather pay more to feel safe.

There are no employees on site at all, no desk clerk since check-in and checkout are by video, no security, and no help. Dog feces are scattered all over the parking lot like minefields, and large, vicious, untrained dogs roam around barking all night. The one good thing was housekeeping. Reyna kept the room clean and stocked.
