Despite the staff’s valiant effort, I can’t recommend this hotel. They were excellent and the hotel was nicely appointed, but management gets zero stars. After I checked out, I was on a first-name basis with the front desk staff because I’d made multiple calls asking them to get a manager involved. The manager never called to understand or resolve my issue, and seemed to avoid dealing with it. When I opened a case with Bonvoy, management closed it using misinformation they had concluded without checking with me. As a frequent traveler and military service member, I’ve never seen this level of unprofessionalism in my 27-year career of traveling for a living. If you have any issue, don’t expect management to show leadership or properly address it.

The indoor pool and jacuzzi were great, and breakfast was included. It was typical hotel breakfast, but hot and well restocked. The place has the Marriott facelift, which was reassuring since some Springfield inns can feel dated. The rooms were super clean, the beds cozy and easy to sleep in, and housekeeping cleaned diligently every day. Staff were friendly too. It’s right off 95, about 12 minutes from the airport, but far enough away that you don’t hear the planes. East Greenwich square is only seconds away and has great food options. Downtown Providence is about 20 minutes away if you want to stay away from the city bustle. For a comfortable and affordable business stay, this place worked really well. Love Marriott!

We came back from South Carolina to visit home, and booked a room from April 1st through the 7th. It’s the 10th now and we’re still here. We don’t want to leave RI, and we’ve been so comfortable, mostly thanks to the wonderful staff. Every one of them has been sweet and pleasant, day or night, and always helpful with whatever we needed. I’d even go down to the lobby just to chat with them. I hate having to leave and will miss them. I absolutely have nothing bad to say, and definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. Thank you so much, all of you! Everyone I met on staff was amazing, especially the young man and woman who helped check me in. They were polite and helpful, but I wasn’t happy that my room didn’t get serviced even after I asked and was told it would be. I checked in Thursday and checked out Monday, asking for daily service when I arrived. The room was only serviced once, on Sunday, and only after I requested it. Even then it wasn’t thorough: the trash cans that had liners before were left without them, the towels weren’t set out well, and I got fewer than I had at check-in. There were cobwebs on the vanity ceiling, and a small spider fell onto the towel on the counter. The bathroom door frame and nearby wall had dirt smudges. Paint was chipping on the bathroom ceiling, there was a gap around the shower head, and the painting looked sloppy and unprofessional. The room and floor had a smell I couldn’t quite place, maybe a new-remodel smell mixed with a little mildew. I bring small Febreze air fresheners just in case. The remote for the main, large TV took repeated, hard button presses to work. And my name never appeared on the TV, someone else’s did, lol.
