Being able to do laundry and relax outdoors was a real plus. The room was spotless, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Sleep Woodstock is charming and well placed for getting to Woodstock and Killington. The staff were wonderful, too. I’d happily stay again and recommend it.
I really enjoyed my stay and hope to come back in fall to see the foliage. Room 6 was clean and comfortable, with a king bed, fridge, and coffee and tea. Lisa was friendly and pointed out some local highlights. I especially liked the buffalo ranch cauliflower at Camp Ranch Woodstock, and Mon Vert Cafe was great for breakfast and coffee. I was in Woodstock for a two-day road trip from North Adams MA, where I was working. Sleep Woodstock sits close enough to downtown, but far enough away to feel surrounded by nature. It’s a lovely building with lots of solar panels, and you can park right outside your room. Communication was great, and I had all the check-in and checkout details before I arrived. The community area has supplies other guests have left behind.
The dog-friendly touches were my favorite part. There are treats for dogs and people in the office, and after the midweek cleaning they left my dog a new rope toy and ball. I’d gladly come back while work on my house continues. I stayed for about a week and a half after my furnace broke. The price was very fair for the area, and I was pleasantly surprised by the room. My double room had two beds, a table with two chairs, lots of lighting, a big-screen TV, a fridge, and a microwave. It was very clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Each room also has K-Cups for coffee, hot chocolate, and cider, plus sweeteners and creamers. The bathroom was a good size and always had hot water. Check-in is self-service, and there’s no daily cleaning, which suited me. For longer stays, they’ll arrange a midweek cleaning with you. I’d recommend the motel. It felt like a four-star stay without four-star prices.
I felt completely safe staying here on my own. There are pleasant outdoor seating areas, and the coffee bar has plenty of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider. The rooms are very clean, have their own distinctive decor, and the beds are really comfortable. The price is budget-friendly, but the rooms don’t feel that way. You can hear some traffic from the road. There were guests in the rooms on both sides of mine, though, and I didn’t hear them. The owners provide earplugs in case the road noise bothers you.
One thing to keep in mind is that the beds are firm, which some people will like, but it won’t suit everyone. Otherwise, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the bathroom has good water pressure with plenty of hot water. There’s a mini fridge/freezer, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker in the room. The kids especially enjoyed the hot chocolate and apple cider options. I also appreciated the recycling and composting, and the common room has extra coffee and games. The location works really well for getting to both Woodstock and Killington, including an easy trip to first chair. I’d definitely recommend it.
