Explorer Cabins at Yellowstone

Making s’mores by the fire each night with the complimentary kit was one of the highlights for my partner and me. We loved the Explorer Cabins in Yellowstone. They were cozy and quiet, just right for unwinding after a day exploring the park, and that little touch made our stay feel memorable.

We’d happily recommend Explorer Cabins, especially for families with kids. Our daughter loved the bunk beds, and the cabin felt welcoming, with Yellowstone books, games, and s’mores kits. It was clean and comfortable, and the kitchenette had what we needed for simple meals or packed food: a fridge, microwave, two burners, ice machine, and full coffee pot. The cabins are only minutes from an entrance gate in bustling West Yellowstone.

The location made a great base for exploring Yellowstone, and the cabin was clean, cozy, and warm after chilly days outside. Our family of five had enough room, and the other beds were very comfortable, but the pullout sofa was so bad that our poor 12-year-old had to use it. Calling this a place for six is a stretch, especially for adults. One evening the unit lot was full, so we had to park far from the cabin or walk through the woods to the other lot. They should have permits, I think. The bathroom light also turns on a really loud fan, which was more annoying than expected. Even with those hassles, we loved the stay.

You feel tucked among pine trees at these lovely cabins, even though the main street is just 50 steps away. The kitchen area and fire pit for s’mores were great, and the cabins had the amenities we needed. One clerk at the hotel where you register had a bad attitude, but I highly recommend the property itself.
