The food was just okay, but the staff made both nights in the hotel a pleasure when snow meant I had to eat there. Diego, Julie, and Nick behind the bar worked together seamlessly, and Zee and Serena were so personable and lovely that they made my evenings. Nicole gave me a massage in the spa, and she was so good I wish I could take her back to Florida with me. My room and its view were amazing during my two-night stay. Can't wait to come back in summer!

Becky came through for me when a room mixup left me without the balcony I needed for a quiet coffee and some reflection during my 20-year college reunion. The place was fully booked, but she somehow made it work. The Memorial Day weekend rain had been a wash, so that felt like a real bright spot. When I saw Becky the next morning, she gave me a huge hug. I needed it and hadn't even realized it. Gabi at the front desk was wonderful too, and the staff were warm and welcoming all around. When I arrived Friday evening, the terrace was full of people dancing, singles, couples, and families, with live music and ocean views. It felt like a fun festival. The indoor pool was relaxing and had friendly people, and the outdoor areas were kept immaculate. I fell in love with the place last month and will definitely be back.

We had a great time at their New Year's Eve event, going with two other couples and sharing a table for 10 with two more couples. The food and service were amazing. It's a beautiful place for a weekend retreat, a date weekend, or whatever, and the in-house spa is awesome. Rooms are a bit dated, which is the worst thing I can say. Wonderful experience, highly recommend.

The only real snag was at the cooking and carving station. Two people were making omelets with a line waiting, while nobody was handling carving, crepes, or pasta. If you wanted lamb or beef, you could end up waiting 7-10 minutes for someone to break away from the omelets. It was disappointing once things got busy. Otherwise, our Sunday brunch was lovely. The table service was attentive and professional, and we had nice window seats overlooking the water. The food was excellent, and I was glad the quality was still so good after not visiting for years. There weren't as many options as I remembered, since the setup is now in one long area instead of several rooms, but there was still plenty: corned beef, cabbage and vegetables, salmon, chicken Madeira, rice dishes, cold salads, dips, fruit, cheeses, charcuterie, breads, rolls, bagels, Danish, seafood salad, and shrimp cocktail. Stations included carving, crepes, pasta, omelets, and waffles.
