Sandcastle Beachfront Inn

The beach view was lovely, and the beach and staff were wonderful. We did have a few frustrating room issues: it wasn’t the room shown in the photo, the bed felt like its springs were coming through and made it hard to sleep, and the cable didn’t work, so we couldn’t watch TV. The toilet and shower are in a very cramped separate room, and you have to leave it to wash your hands. Having to touch the door before you can wash up felt a little unsanitary and made me uneasy.

The staff really paid attention and went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed. It was a quiet, relaxing place, with coffee and tea available for early mornings by the beach. Getting around was easy too: parking was simple, the beach was right there, and shops and food were within walking distance. My knees are in really bad shape, but I found the property accessible and manageable. First visit, and I’ll definitely come back.

Anna made our first trip to RI such a great experience. She was the standout, and I hope she’s back next season. The owner, I think, was kind and helpful too. Our room was clean and suited us well for two nights, with gorgeous views and a very clean beach. Shops and restaurants were walkable, and Watch Hill was at most a 10-minute drive. There’s no microwave in the room, though the front desk can heat food for you. The shower felt a bit small to me, but the water pressure and hot water were good. From booking through checkout, everything went smoothly.

The staff were kind and accommodating, and the ocean was right outside the door with a gorgeous view. There’s a private beach, too.
