The front desk staff were excellent: friendly, professional, and understanding throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the stay itself was pretty unpleasant. On our first night, a loud, steady dripping sound came from inside the wall and went on all night. It was so disruptive that I got only about an hour of sleep. I reported it that night, but the hotel was full, so they couldn’t move us. The next morning there was no hot water. It eventually came back, but the noise continued. Thankfully, the desk staff found us another room later that day, and the second night was much better. We finally got some rest. The hot water was out again the next morning, though, so we had to take cold showers. I went to the desk to ask for compensation for the problems. The staff member was kind and understanding again, said he felt bad about it, and spoke with the general manager. He was authorized to offer only a $50 reimbursement. Given the lost sleep and hot water outages on two mornings, I found that disappointing. The general manager also didn’t come out to apologize, which I felt would have been appropriate. While the desk staff did their best and gave excellent service, the hotel’s condition and management’s limited response made this a frustrating visit. **Wyndam’s response posted in the area pic below** I want to clarify a few things so my experience is represented accurately. The General Manager never met with me or came out to apologize. The front desk associate went back to the office several times to speak with her, but I was told she wasn’t coming out and thought the $50 reimbursement was sufficient. I never received a direct apology, which was disappointing. I also don’t think the level of disruption was fully considered. The constant loud dripping in the wall cost us almost an entire night of sleep, and the hot water was out two separate mornings. The stay didn’t meet even basic expectations for comfort. I provided video evidence of the noise, and she said she never viewed it. My comment about possibly removing the review came only after several attempts to resolve the problems during the stay. It wasn’t about “trading” a review for compensation, but a last effort to reach a fair resolution for what happened. I’m not trying to argue. I just want my experience described accurately. I appreciate the staff’s kindness, but I’m still disappointed with how management handled the situation.
