SpringHill Suites Denver North/Westminster

The strong scent throughout the hotel was the part I really disliked. The rooms were nice, but lighting and storage were lacking, and one little closet isn't enough for a family of four. The bathtub was old, with rust spots and patched areas. I did like the kitchenette with its fridge, microwave, and extra sink. Breakfast had a decent variety that changed each day, and waffle makers came out on weekends. Coffee and hot water, along with cold still and sparkling water on tap, were available all day. The gym and pool were nice, too.

The kids had a great time in the pool, and the clean, spacious room suited our family of four well. I usually sleep badly in hotels, but I slept like a rock here.

I stayed here for the National Storm Chaser Summit at the Westin. Getting to the Westin was quick and easy, about a mile away, and being right off US36 made it easy to get around. I had a Deluxe King room with a great mountain view. The bed was soft and comfortable, and the room was very nice. Staff were kind and helpful.

The gym was a highlight for me. The cardio room had some of the best treadmills I've used in a hotel, plus a Peleton bike and, I think, an elliptical. There was a water station for bottles, and a separate room with medicine balls, benches, a cable machine, dumbbells, rollers, and bands. The heated pool was a decent size, too. The only real drawback there was that the pool and gym, which are next to each other, didn't have enough towels. Receptionists we met were great, breakfast was good though nothing unusual, and the location was convenient to the freeway, shops, and things to do. I didn't care for the very firm beds, and the tiny pillows barely covered my head. Still, I thought it was a great hotel and good value for the time we stayed.
