The Wexford Hotel

The barking across the hall went on for hours, and police were called at 3 AM. It was constant, not just occasional, and the hotel didn’t step in before it got that far. Earlier, our room’s toilet was completely unusable. Instead of fixing it promptly or moving us right away, staff gave us the runaround as if it didn’t matter. Then we were charged an extra $20 for checking in “too early,” while other people seemed to be checking in at the same time without a problem. It felt arbitrary, like an excuse to add a charge. Between that, the broken toilet, and the lack of noise control, this was one of my worst hotel stays. I wouldn’t come back.

Our room was beautiful and even had a fireplace?! The hotel was very clean, and the service was nice. It’s a quiet, well-priced place to sleep, and I think it deserves a much higher rating. There’s no dresser to unpack into, if that matters to you, and no in-room coffee maker. But there’s a Starbucks next door, so that solves the coffee problem. Definitely staying again.

Really good value for the money. The front desk staff, especially Maddy, were very friendly. The accommodations are bare bones, but everything felt very clean, modern, and new. Big TV, plus a nice fireplace light feature.

They charged me two $50 incidental fees and tried to charge me again even though nothing was wrong with the room. The vending machine didn’t work, and the worker wouldn’t give us water. When we arrived, the tubs were really dirty, and there was only cold water in the bathtub. Scammers!
