Countryside Inn

We just needed somewhere for one night, and this did the job. The price matched what we got, and I’d stay again if I needed to. It’s not a five-star motel, but the front desk kid was nice and very quick. We arrived late, tired, and just wanted to get into a room, so that was a relief.

A few good points: it’s close to town, Walmart is only a few minutes away, and the Indian lady at the front desk was friendly. But check the room, including under the beds. The maids seemed really weird, watching you leave and then going into rooms. The A/C creaked, there were roaches, the washer and dryer are outside, and dirty towels were being reused.

The lobby gave me some hope after the rough exterior, but the cleanliness didn’t continue past the entrance. Our room was disgusting: old food left in the microwave, a moldy slice of cake in the fridge, and little black hairs in the bathtub. I won’t stay here again.

The room was nice and so were the staff, but there was just one drinking cup sitting unwrapped on the counter. Every other motel I’ve stayed at individually wrapped those in plastic, so I had no idea if this one had been used. There wasn’t any soap or shampoo in the room either.
