Scottish Inns and Suites Wharton

There’s very little parking, and even people take the handicap spots. I’m always having to park on the other side of the motel, which I don’t like. There also seems to be a whole passel of people using the place like an apartment building, and it gets loud at all hours. The rooms aren’t bad, but you’d better bring your own blanket.

I spent $1,000 for a week, then found out from one of the cleaning ladies that the weekly rate was $472. When I asked about it, the man said that was their weekly rate, then shrugged and walked off. He couldn’t have told me that up front? The room didn’t even have a mirror, and they wouldn’t let me borrow one, so I had to buy one at Walmart just to shave. I was also told there’d be complimentary breakfast every morning, but that never happened. When I asked, they said they were sorry and couldn’t do that right now. I could have spent way less and gotten much more. There’s a much nicer hotel about a mile down the road where I could have stayed for $600. People, go there instead.

I had reserved a room, but after 10 pm nobody answered the phone or the front desk bell, so I couldn’t get into it.

The woman at the front was extremely pleasant, and it was a very quiet weekend. But I’d requested extra towels in the reservation and they weren’t left. The carpet needed replacing, and the whole room seemed like it needed a deep clean. There was mold on the mirror and dead bugs in the bathroom. I won’t stay here again.
