American Motel

The room smelled bad, and there was long hair in the tub. The bathroom’s vinyl tiles had come apart, and the carpet was cut up. The pool wasn’t working either. On top of that, highway traffic was loud. This place is a dump.

The balconies are a nice touch, and there are plenty of amenities nearby. I’ve stayed here several times when I’m in the area, and the friendly staff and good service have made those visits pleasant. Just bring a dollar in cash for the key deposit. You get it back when you return the key at checkout. Thanks for the hospitality, I appreciate it whenever I’m around.

The room conditions were awful, and so was how we were treated when we spoke up. We found a huge dead rat, then got moved to another room where a large roach was climbing the wall behind my husband. An older blonde lady called us liars, threatened to kick us out, tried to downgrade our room without refunding the difference, and marked us as unable to return. The bathroom doors were rotting from water damage, the hallways smelled like something was dying, and the beds were disgusting. There were two police raids in different rooms on the night we stayed. People wandered around trying doors and asking for drugs. They were also disrespectful about my husband’s service dog, even though she had her papers. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable or been treated so badly. 🪳🐀😷🤧🤮🤢💉💊⚠️

This place needs someone who cares enough to renovate it from top to bottom. Maybe a $3 million tax write-off could make that happen, or it needs to lose $3+ million. If neither is possible, knock it down and make it a parking lot. The condition it’s in leaves the doors wide open for trouble. Hopefully something happens sooner rather than later.
