Thankers

Thankers has such a warm, peaceful atmosphere, and everyone was kind. We were always greeted when we got back from going out. Booking was easy, and finding the room and getting inside was straightforward. The place is nicely decorated, with comfortable beds and plenty of extra blankets. There’s a restaurant in the hotel serving the best Italian food, plus a bar. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay, and my family and I will always stay here when we come to Wheatland.

On the road for work with my boyfriend, we stay in hotels a lot, and finding somewhere affordable that feels comfortable and safe isn’t easy. Thankers was the best place we’ve stayed in Wheatland, Wyoming, and it cost about half as much as other hotels we’ve used. The room felt properly comfortable and homey, not like a rushed, half-clean hotel room. They’d even left snacks, makeup remover supplies, plastic silverware, cups, and books, and the TV is huge. Staying there felt more like a vacation than a work trip. I’d absolutely recommend it.

We came to Wyoming for a weekend visit to historic Fort Laramie, about 45 minutes from Wheatland, and found Thankers through Airbnb. Room 5 looked just like the photos, and it was attractive, clean, and stocked with water and snacks. I also liked the soaps, lotions, and little bottle of facial oil. Spaghetti West, the restaurant on the property run by the owner’s son, served one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We enjoyed chatting with the chef, Oliver, and our waitress, Bri. Wheatland was lovely too, and we met several friendly longtime residents. We’ll be back and hope to stay at Thankers again.

Best sleep we had during our month-long trip, by far. The mattress, pillows, and linens felt like a warm hug, and the rooms were thoughtfully decorated with every amenity we could want. The restaurant and staff made the stay even better: incredible pasta, homemade sourdough bread fresh from the oven, and top-notch cocktails and wine. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!
